We service Glem Gas freestanding cookers with faults affecting burners, ignition, ovens, grills, gas controls and flame safety systems. Customer service records the model, symptom and location before booking.
17413
Glem Gas cooker maintenance covers freestanding models and common gas, ignition, oven and safety faults through the official Glem Gas service number 17413.
Inspection of the spark electrode, burner cap, ignition path and gas flow.
Inspection of the thermocouple, safety valve and burner alignment.
Inspection of the oven burner, thermostat, insulation and door seal.
Shut off the gas supply, avoid electrical switches and call 17413 immediately.
We identify the model from the data label so the service visit can be prepared accurately.

Glem Gas cooker repair should not begin by automatically replacing an ignition electrode or thermocouple. The same symptom can have several causes. A burner that does not light may be affected by moisture, blocked ports, a weak spark or an ignition-module fault, so the customer description must be combined with inspection and model identification.
Electrode, cable, ignition switch and spark-generator inspection.
Burner-cap position, gas ports, flame pattern and valve inspection.
Thermocouple and valve response when the flame goes out.
Ignition, temperature distribution, thermostat and door inspection.
Mechanical movement and valve inspection without forcing or lubricating controls.
Hinges, gasket, glass and pan-support stability.
| Observed symptom | Possible causes | Safe customer action |
|---|---|---|
| Burner does not ignite | Moisture, dirt, electrode or ignition-module fault | Dry the surface and check burner-cap position without dismantling gas valves. |
| Flame goes out after releasing the knob | Safety sensor not heating or thermocouple/valve fault | Stop using that burner until it is checked. |
| Yellow or uneven flame | Incorrect burner assembly, blockage or supply issue | Ventilate the room and stop use if there is a gas smell. |
| Oven does not reach temperature | Ignition, thermostat, heat distribution or door leakage | Record heating time and the observed performance difference. |
| Stiff control knob | Dirt or a mechanical valve issue | Do not force the knob or spray lubricant inside. |
Parts that may be related to cooker faults include ignition electrodes, spark modules, thermocouples, gas valves, thermostats, door hinges and gaskets. A symptom does not automatically prove that a part has failed; cleaning, adjustment or wiring may be the actual cause.
After cleaning, dry the ignition area and return burner caps to their correct positions. Do not flood the surface, enlarge gas ports with metal needles or spray products into controls. Monitor flame colour and stability and remove grease without soaking the controls.
